Organic rank is the position a product holds in Amazon search results for a given keyword without a sponsored placement. Page one, positions one to four, is where most clicks happen.

What earns it

Amazon ranks products it expects to sell. The signals are relevance (the keyword appears in the listing and the product matches the intent), sales velocity on that keyword, conversion rate from that search, and to a lesser extent price, reviews and stock. Sales from ads on a keyword count toward rank on that keyword, which is why advertising and organic growth are one strategy, not two.

How we track it

We track a defined set of root keywords per parent ASIN weekly, using Brand Analytics and a rank tracker, and report position changes next to ad spend on those terms. Rank that holds after spend is reduced is the sign the organic-shift strategy is working.
