Campaign Manager is the part of the Amazon Ads console where Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and Sponsored TV campaigns are built, edited, paused and reported on. Sellers reach it from Seller Central under Advertising, Campaign Manager, or by signing in at advertising.amazon.com. It shows campaigns, ad groups, targets, placements, budgets and performance over a chosen date range, and it is also where bulk operations, the reports library, budget rules, portfolios and the Sponsored ads settings live.
Why it matters
Campaign Manager is the source of truth for what your ads are doing today and the place every change is made, whether by hand, through a bulk file or through a tool connected to the Amazon Ads API. Knowing how to read it is the fastest way to check an agency's work: the change history shows what was edited and when, the campaign list shows which campaigns are out of budget, and the date-range comparison shows the trend.
It has limits as a reporting tool. Attribution keeps updating for days after a click, so the last few days always look weaker than they will. Search-term detail is in downloadable reports rather than on screen, and hourly data comes only from the Amazon Marketing Stream. Most agencies read Campaign Manager for the state of the account and downloadable reports for the decisions.
What moves it
- Access permissions. Amazon Ads accounts can grant agencies user access with viewer, editor or admin rights without sharing a login.
- Portfolios, which group campaigns and can carry a shared budget cap.
- Bulk operations, which let hundreds of bids or negatives be changed in one validated upload.
- Reports library, where Search Term, Placement, Targeting, Advertised Product and Budget reports are scheduled and downloaded.
How we use it
We work in Campaign Manager through user access on the client's own account, never through a shared password, so the account and its history stay with the brand. Weekly changes are prepared in bulk files, validated, uploaded, and then checked in the change history, and every edit is listed in the weekly report so the console and the report tell the same story.
